Karl Cowell

Karl Cowell is a Wix Leader, one of only 19 in the world and just 3 in the UK, the other being his business partner Joe Bennett (see Wix's official announcement), and widely regarded as one of the leading independent voices on Wix in the UK, outside of Wix itself. He's the Co-Founder and Creative Director of The Wix Guys, a Wix-specialist agency based in Maidstone, Kent, that has built over 500 websites for small businesses across the UK and beyond. Karl co-founded the agency in 2025 with Joe Bennett, turning a hard lesson from their previous business, a construction marketing agency where every campaign that worked well enough eventually cost them the client, into a new approach built entirely around one platform they believe in.

On stage, Karl talks about what actually moves the needle for small businesses: getting real results out of Wix, building websites that convert instead of just looking good and why scrappy beats perfect for founders who are just getting started. His talk "Is a Website Worth It in 2026?" has taken him to Ideas Fest on the Dreamland stage at Champneys, Tring and to ZC Live at the Great Danes Hotel in Maidstone, alongside sessions for The Marketing Meetup in Ashford and a Swwwift talk for graphic designers.

Karl has been championing young entrepreneurs since he was 18, as a Kent Foundation ambassador for under-30s, and brings that same practical, no-jargon energy to every talk: clear takeaways, real examples, nothing theoretical.
